Post Easter

April 12, 2012

I hope you had a wonderful Easter break!

We started ours with an Easter party where we hid and hunted Easter eggs. It was so fun! The rest of the break I either slept, ate, worked out or watched Gossip Girl, so not too much interesting to write about!

I started school again on Tuesday and have only three short weeks left until I head back to Norway. At school these days we are doing a UN summit simulation where we chose to be different South-East Asian states and non-governmental organizations trying to reach agreement on solving common issues, namely deforestation and overfishing. The hard part is that we can’t act like ourselves, we need to act on behalf of our governments and selfish interests, which makes it complicated to cooperate as some of us represent developing nations battling corruption and struggling economies. This of course makes the simulation more realistic and challenging, which has been very educational. We have already created caucuses, experienced bribing and backstabbing, which has made everything even more interesting. We have about a week left of our simulation, and hopefully we will have treaty language we can all agree upon by the end of next week.

Now I will enjoy a peaceful night with even more Gossip Girl and a great fruit salad:

Grapefruit, pineapple, blackberries and grapes, mmmm….

I hope you have a wonderful night! ♥
